CO2 lasers — 10.6 µm
Focusing lens, output window or F-theta. Laser grade: bulk absorption < 0.0005 cm−1 @ 10.6 µm (KM datasheet). Dual-band AR if a 633 nm HeNe rides the same path.
Use
ZnSe is a binary II–VI with a job list, not a personality. These are the jobs we quote substrate for.
Focusing lens, output window or F-theta. Laser grade: bulk absorption < 0.0005 cm−1 @ 10.6 µm (KM datasheet). Dual-band AR if a 633 nm HeNe rides the same path.
Camera windows and elements. Optical grade unless the print says resonator. Different AR than a cutting head.
Broadband windows when the bench spans mid-IR and you can live with a soft crystal. Uncoated unless you specify.
The crystal in the beam path, not the machine. F-theta lenses for scan heads: laser grade, AR 10.6 µm. Optical grade does not belong here.
Substrate for diagnostic and process optics. We are not a medical-device manufacturer and we do not claim ISO 13485.
Illuminators, rangefinders, telescope optics. ITAR and end-use on the paperwork when they apply — ask, do not assume.
KM also supplies ZnSe as evaporation material and sputtering target. Same crystal, different form — say so on the RFQ.
IR viewports on vacuum and process tools. Optical grade unless a laser is going through the same port. Write the atmosphere and the band.
Looking at a hot process through a ZnSe window. Uncoated or a camera AR — not a CO2 dual-band unless the print says so.
Relay windows and expanders in a CO2 path. Laser grade. AR 10.6 µm. Optical grade does not belong in that line.
Liquid and gas cells on an IR bench. Soft crystal — plan the seal and the clean, not a glass recipe.
Plates exist because CVD makes area. KM datasheet maximum Ø800 × 30 mm T. Send the clear aperture, not a hope.
KM grows its own H2Se on site in Gwangju, runs CVD blanks up to Ø800 × 30 mm, and holds finished stock in Florida for US delivery.
